Scott Syroka thrives at the intersection of brand marketing and paid media. He’s spent his career making sure the right people see the right message in the right place at the right time for some of the most recognizable brands out there including Google, President Joe Biden, and Vice President Kamala Harris. He has successfully led nearly half a billion dollars and counting in brand media campaigns across digital, TV, radio, and out-of-home channels.
Scott's efforts have earned recognition by The AMEC Awards, The International Content Marketing Awards, The OBIE Awards, The Pollie Awards (including Presidential TV Ad of the Year), The Shorty Awards, The Telly Awards, and The Webby Awards. His work has been covered by major news organizations including ABC News, Bloomberg, CBS News, The New York Times, and The Verge.
Beyond his professional work, the citizens of Johnston, Iowa elected Scott in 2019 to serve as an At-Large City Councilman. He outran an incumbent by 10% to flip a seat red to blue with a record number of votes in a city that previously voted for President Trump. During his tenure, he worked with the mayor and council to increase competition in the local broadband market and lower costs for residents, establish a grant program for COVID-afflicted small businesses failed by the federal Paycheck Protection Program, and improve access to public buildings for families with special needs — all while cutting property taxes to decade lows.
Scott graduated from Georgetown University in Washington, DC and Johnston High School in Johnston, Iowa.
